About me!

My name is Alice Qiu, and I recently graduated from Northwestern University, where I majored in Biological Sciences and minored in Global Health Studies and Asian American Studies. I'm currently based in Houston, TX. While I initially wanted to pursue medicine, I decided to pivot to design upon realizing that I could also help people and do good through other means! I love being creative, making things, solving problems, and understanding people, so what better path than design and design research. Though I don't have a traditional design background (if there is such a thing), I'm skilled at UX research, UI/UX design, design thinking, and more. I love to learn and have a passion for creative, purposeful human-centered design, especially in the healthcare field. I'm currently looking for opportunities where I can gain hands-on experience and apply my interdisciplinary skills as designer, researcher, scientist, cold brew enthusiast, shark lover, amateur photographer, and more!
